In addition, the Grateful Dead shows are queued with the lowest priority, meaning that any show that comes in will go before it, so this has little to do with GD additions.

Besides, no one is ever going to download the GD shows that fast, so why do we need 100 added everyday? The shows I/we are putting up are about a week old, meaning there is a demand for it, the GD shows are 20-30 years old. I doubt anyone is in a huge hurry to get those.

When there are no other shows to process, it will process a Grateful Dead show. If you add your show while all the servers are processing GD shows, then your show has to wait (no longer than 2 hours) before it will get processed.
Let me know which show took too long (post the URL), and I'll verify the time between when you added it to the time it was approved by a curator.

And in my opinion, the person who has waited 30 years for a Dead show should get it before the person who's been waiting 5 days for your show. They've been waiting much longer :)
